Jeans -

Jeans part names

Coin Pocket – A small patch pocket, in the classic version of jeans sewn on the right side, just above the main pocket.

Cut types

Straight cut

Straight jeans with the same pant leg width all the way around. Some models allow for slight differences in width.

Tapered cut

Jeans that taper from the knee to the bottom and form a cone.

Boot cut

The pant leg extends from the knee to the bottom of the product, and the upper part is straight.

Wide leg

Wide, loose jeans, gradually expanding from the hip to the bottom of the product.

Flare cut

Slim Fit

Slightly less skinny, but also skinny jeans. Good fit on the hips, but not as tight at the ankle as skinnies.

Tight Fit

Cigarette jeans - narrowed to the bottom with medium-width trousers - not baggy, but not too tight.

Tapered fit

Jeans with tapered fit, tapered from the knee to the ankle. The hips are moderately loose. The overall silhouette of the jeans is a cone.

Baggy

Baggy or Slouchy - loose, baggy, wide jeans with a low waist and low crotch area. They may taper slightly at the bottom, but are loose even at the ankles.

Loose Fit

Loose tube jeans, wide across the length of the pants. Can be fitted in different ways, but always a little baggy due to the folds formed.

Bell Bottom

Jeans flared with an extension of the trousers from the knee. At the top either straight and loose or tight.

Mom

Jeggings

Jogger jeans

Culottes jeans

Wide pants up to mid-calf length, made of denim.

Shorts

Shortened to the knee and above jeans.

What fabrics are used to make jeans?

  • Denim is a dense, tough and durable material created from white and blue cotton fibers. Blue or blue on the outside and practically white on the inside. The classic fabric for jeans.
