Of course, it is too early to talk about all the trends now - there are still 3 loud September Fashion Weeks ahead, which will also have an impact on the style of spring and summer 2022. But nothing prevents us from spying on what trends are already emerging.
@imgfocus
First of all , this is, of course, the color of the next year - blue - it has already been introduced into the fashion palette of the next season by the Pantone Institute, and not in one, but in several shades at once:
@sergiohudson
Along with blue, the list of trend shades includes powder pink, yellow, red, crimson. The basic, universal palette, which in the coming spring will be beige, white, pale gray and others, is not going anywhere.
Fashion houses and brands have shown that in the new season things of non-standard cut remain relevant - with voluminous sleeves, asymmetry. There remains a trend for shortened models of jackets, tops. Mini-length dresses burst in, although, I must say, midi and maxi were found on the podium no less often.

New York Fashion Week was generous with star guests, including Alicia Silverstone, Katie Holmes, Ciara, Camila Mendes and others. All of them demonstrated the outfits of famous designers, clearly attracting the attention of journalists.

The first new collection was shown by the American fashion designer Christian Siriano. As the designer promised, his fashion will be available to everyone regardless of the figure, so the Plus Size model Precious Lee opened the show. The girl demonstrated a romantic but bright dress with a lush skirt.
@csiriano
All subsequent models of clothing pleased with the brightness and boldness of styles. For the collection, Siriano identified three main colors – grass green, orange and beige, as well as black – it is timeless.

Presented on the second day of fashion week, the collection of the Bronx And Banco brand is saturated with island motifs, but with the preservation of the femininity of the silhouette. Sexy, slightly wild models of clothing, complemented by ropes, shells and other original accessories reflect confidence with a touch of natural charm.
@nyfw
Despite the fact that the siriano and Bronx And Banco collections are polarly different, the common features that seem to become a trend of spring-summer 2022 can still be traced. For example, the brand showed several bright models of dresses with unusual cutouts, as well as clothes with asymmetry.

But the color scheme for clothing was chosen neutral, close to nature - white, brown, blue, gray and brick.
If you watched the series of the late 90s "The Nanny", then you will definitely see in the new Collection Moschino similarity with the style of the main character. This trend in clothing is called "naïve fashion" - it is something between a romantic style and children's clothing.
@moschino
Pastel shades, funny, even children's prints and embroideries and over-the-top cuteness - all this found a place in Moschino clothes.

But the most discussed event of the show was not at all its bold orientation, but the invitation of the model Aaron Philippe - a girl with cerebral palsy. Some criticized the choice of the brand and stated the decline of the fashion world, but Moschino and Aaron herself are sure that this is the first step to ensuring that everyone can do what they love.

A little psychedelic was given to the New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2022 by the Monse brand. With all the overall color tranquility of the collection, some models, because of the prints chosen, turned out to be really frighteningly bold.

Along with bright tops and sweaters, there was a place for more basic models, for example - a straight knitted dress of a calm green shade with a playful neckline.
@monsemaison
Quite restrained and bright blue dress, which, although it has a touch of avant-garde, does not scream about its extravagance.
@monsemaison
Monse continues to promote the fashion for unusual cutouts - bare shoulders on a hoodie, an asymmetrical shoulder area on an elongated jumper, an unusual dress with a bolero effect - all this takes place in the spring-summer fashion of the new season.

By the way, the Hilton sisters were invited to the show, dressed, of course, in Monse Maison clothes.

Michael Kors is always known for his love of the show and this year was no exception. Not only was a very picturesque location chosen for the show - The Central Park of New York, but also star models in the person of Irina Shayk, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and Paloma Elsesser were invited to demonstrate clothes.
@michaelkors
With such a composition of models, the show was doomed to success, but in the end it was not the star faces on the catwalk that struck, but also the collection that was presented to the public. This time, Michael Kors focused on a nice black and white palette – only a couple of models went beyond this range.
@michaelkors
@michaelkors
We also paid attention to the cut - everything is near-classic. Pencil skirt with lace, which has not been used in such quantities for 7 years, dresses with a lush skirt in the spirit of Christian Dior, classic jackets.
@michaelkors
And, despite a pair of sequined dresses and a few ultra-short shorts, the collection as a whole is associated with classics, minimalism and even conservatism.
One of the brightest shows was definitely the demonstration of the new COACH collection. While Michael Kors is actively using the base, this brand decided to make the upcoming spring and summer brighter – things were presented in almost all colors of the rainbow.
@michaelkors
@coach
And although the range was diverse, each color was muted to pastels - this helped to combine incongruous shades.
@coach
The predominance of the cage in COACH clothes is clearly traced - small and large, as well as a scar.

New York Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2022 turned out to be bright and spectacular, and also set a high bar. New York passes the baton – next in line is London!
