Scandinavian or Nordic style in clothing for women and men is a relatively new direction, which in its usual form appeared in the first half of the last century. However, the first inclinations to the formation of the style date back to much earlier years, namely, the end of the 16th century, when Northern Europe first began to abandon the bright and attractive outfit in favor of a more practical, albeit less aesthetic.

Since that time, the style has undergone many changes, but still remained faithful to the main principles of the Scandinavian ancestors.
Women of the Scandinavian peoples do not seek to stand out from the crowd, so they prefer a monochrome wardrobe. Modern residents of megacities often neglect this rule, creating brighter, but in compliance with the principles of the Nordic direction.
