Our culture of over-consumption leads us to have a closet full of clothes and still nothing to wear. This is because a cluttered closet prevents us from seeing those really good and workable clothes.
We usually only wear clothes that fit us perfectly, that are perfect for us in color - that's about 20% of our entire wardrobe, our favorites.
All other things lie dead weight for a number of reasons: some we just don't know what to combine with, because we lack the basic connecting units, some don't fit us in size, but we still keep them, in case, what if?
And some hang on hangers on top of each other so that they are simply not visible, respectively, we forget about them and do not wear.
That's why regular wardrobe sorting out is the key to success! Once we put away the clothes that no longer adorn us, the remaining closet items will work for us and make us happy.
Sorting out your clothes should be done at least 1-2 times a year, or better with each change of season.
So what is the difference between having a stylist edit your wardrobe and simply sorting out clothes in your wardrobe?
When we clean out and sort our closet, we have the goal of putting things in nice stacks and bringing visual order.
When a stylist takes over, he or she has different goals. Stylists strive to keep in our closet only the clothes that beautify us, those that will hide our imperfections and emphasize our strengths, and ideally we strive to arrive at a rational closet.
We need to analyze the conformity of the wardrobe to the lifestyle and appearance, then it will be easy for us to make up sets on our own.
The stylist will not just edit and sort your wardrobe, but will show you all the variability of your clothes, make such sets, which you did not even know about. Subsequently, you will not have things in your closet that you do not know what to combine with.
It is not an expensive service and every woman should use it at least once in her life. It will bring you much more benefits and advantages than its cost.
You will learn how to choose the right things for your figure, you will no longer make the same mistakes when buying new clothes. Learn to mix styles and textures yourself.

Having sorted out your closet with a stylist 1 time, you will already understand how to do it yourself the next time.
Now I'tell you in detail how I do it:
First, divide your areas of life into percentages to see if you have enough clothing items for all your areas of life. For example: if you go to the theater every weekend, you need a certain amount of clothes for that occasion, and one evening gown won't be enough for you. Or vice versa, you go to the gym occasionally, but you have 10 sports sets.
Also think about what kind of impression you want to make on others with the help of clothes. For example, if a girl wants to make an impression of success and look expensive, she can not wear a watch with a shabby strap and an obvious fake of an expensive bag, it will definitely not correspond to the desired impression.

Don't tackle your entire wardrobe at once, start by sorting out the current season's items, it's a time-consuming job.
We take clothes out of the closet by category, for example we start with bottoms - pants, skirts, shorts, jeans, then tops - t-shirts, tops, shirts. Also do not forget about shoes, bags and other accessories, they all make up your look, in each category carefully examine each thing.
The clothes we get rid of:

And now for the fun part! When we got rid of everything unnecessary and freed up precious space in the closet, we start to collect looks from the remaining things. All the images that we collect are photographed on the phone - now we will not have a problem of "what to wear" in the morning before leaving the house, at any moment we can look in the gallery of already ready looks and save precious time.
It is very important during the creation of looks not to be lazy and try everything on yourself, and not just lay out somewhere on the floor, otherwise dressing it later on yourself, it may turn out that it all sits on us in a completely different way than we imagined.
It is also important to create a complete look, including shoes, bag, belt, and other accessories. Firstly, it looks completely different, complete and harmonious, and secondly, during the fitting we will realize what positions we lack and what we need to buy for greater variability in the closet. This is how the shopping list is formed - it is all the things we lacked to create a full-fledged looks.
For example, trying on different clothes combinations, we may notice that we lack light-colored shoes, or a brown belt, we often lack some connecting things to create a look, usually it will be some basic things.
Everyone will have a different list, as we all have different lifestyles, goals, and the desired impression we want to make through clothing.
I also want to note that for every bottom there should be at least 3 tops, then you will have a great variability in combinations and thus you will get a lot of different looks.
Don't be afraid to experiment, try on new combinations of things. Try to dress differently, for example, tie a shirt in front, tuck in only one edge, open at the release as a top layer, roll up the sleeves. Try combinations of clothes from different styles and textures, such as a delicate chiffon dress with a leather jacket and rough boots, or a knitted sweater with a satin skirt. Such a play of styles and textures always looks interesting and unusual.
As a result, after such careful work you will have a lot of new combinations and looks, and most importantly, you will always have something to wear in the morning, and a cheat sheet at hand in the form of photos with ready-made looks.
Don't put it off until tomorrow! Try uncluttering your closet, you'll be surprised at the results.
Yes, you will have to spend a few hours on it, but the result of the work done will pay off several times over. If you spend a couple of hours of your time thinking about your looks, you will look much more interesting. You will like your reflection in the mirror and get high from yourself and your feelings!
